My Dad's Love The first time he hit me, I was only 3, I guess I kind of figured it was because he loved me. The years went by and the smacks increased, the slightest thing seemed to bring out his beast. At 10 I remember getting caught when I swore, then beaten and beaten with the belt that he wore. At 12 came the punches and beaten with wood, stripped naked while shaking and covered in blood. To all on the outside, he was a great dad, it must have been me that was really quite bad. At 15 the whipping caused me to flee, but I should have remembered, that the only reason he did it was because he loved me. So I wish he was here now as I'd like to return that love.
