The Outcast Chapter 1 In a heartbeat the forest exploded, birds erupted into the cold, night sky squawking like sirens warning others of the danger. Trees fell to their stumps like dominoes as the beast rampaged getting evermore ferocious and angry. Rain pierced the canopy as lightning struck the ground creating tornadoes of earth and tree. Hope faded as the demon emerged from its prison of slumber. The demon took the form of a bear, but a bear possessed is a bear like no other. The Farken is built like a gorilla, with strong arms small fat legs the monster pounds along shaking the earth with each step. If you challenge the Farken, death would be your main goal because the Farken is a messy eater, he plays with his food until they're begging him to be eaten. There is only one who can tame the demon and that is the Outcast.
Son Of The Seas 5 "You're late." Stated a tall man in fire uniform looking down his nose at us. We had just got to the cellars when I saw him. He had slick black hair tied backwards in a ponytail and I couldn't help but to look at the floor guiltily. "Dawn, I expected more from you." He said angrily, my gaze was instantly drawn to her but she turned away in hatred. " you there," he shouted, pointing at one of the students near the pit "show the two rascals here what we have just been practising." "Y-yes sir. " stuttered the girl who looked about 10 years old. She walked over to the edge of the pit and stretched her arm out into the heat, surprisingly her arm stayed unburned, then she twisted her wrist in an upward direction and then froze her hand in a position that reminded me of Darth Vader using the force in Star Wars. She then stepped into the pit and to my amazement the lava below her rose up and formed a platform beneath her feet. The girl smiled bearing pearly white teeth and stepped back wards into the shadows. "Now you try." This time his long boney finger was pointing at me. I shook my head. "Do you deny my authority?" He questioned, he looked at me with a cold stare, one that I couldn't argue with and I walked up the stairs to the controlling platform. Dawn looked up from her tears realising what was happening. " But..." She started. "SILENCE," roared the fire tutor. Slowly I reached out my hand out but when it felt the heat my hand began to slowly fry itself. I completed the actions and yanked my almost toasted arm out of the wall of pain. A platform of lava waited for me patiently after being risen from its pit. I told myself I would be fine just like that girl from earlier, but part of me knew I was wrong. I extended my left leg onto the platform and... "Aaaaaaaargh" I screamed in pain, my vision blurred as I stumbled over backwards into some students waiting behind me. Other screams joined mine making a ghostly choir. Dawn and myself in a duet, our cries far louder than anyone elses. I tried to find the source of the hell I was experiencing. I looked up to see Dawn on the floor blood pouring from her shoulder, the fire tutor looming over her with a bloody knife. I looked down towards where my left foot used to be. Nothing but a seemingly endless stream of blood gushing out of my leg. My voice died I tried to scream some more but I had already lost consciousness.
Son Of The Seas 4 On the way to the air quarters no one spoke a word to me. All I got was strange looks as people whispered to their friends. It was like that the rest of the day and I felt really awkward. The air quarters was a long room warm with a gentle breeze. I went to sleep hating myself. The next day Alwyn came to me and said "today you will be working with the fire Druids and you will be controlling lava." Then he left me, feeling lost. After what felt like an hour I managed to find the fire Druids' quarters. A room lit only by a log fire in front of a long, red, silk carpet. Wait there wasn't any logs in the fireplace just a ball of fire floating avove a metal palm. " what are you doing here?" Sniffled a soft voice from one of the beds. "I'm looking for the fire Druid class." The figure sat up into the light, I could now see that she was a beautiful girl with long wavy hair and gorgeous pink eyes. "We'll you're a bit late for that water boy," the girl stood up neatened her hazel hair and walked over. She was wearing a red uniform with golden patterns swirling all over it. "I'm Dawn," she said extending her hand. " nice to meet you. I'm James."I shook her hand kindly it was warm to the touch. My heart suddenly felt a lot warmer. "You're not going in that are you?" She asked, staring at my white air Druid uniform. "Oh right," i blinked out of my daydream "do you have any spare uniforms?" "I think I may be able to fish something out for you," she disappeared into the walk in closet that I couldn't see when I first looked in and came out five minutes later with a uniform almost identical to hers except for the fact that his belt was blue like the bottom of a flame. "This looks about right." I started putting the ruby robes on and I was handed some fire proof gloves. "Well, we'd better get over to the lava pit then, we're already late." She said when I was fully dressed. And with that we set off into the manor talking to each other as if we'd known each other for all of our lives.
