Beauty (explanation) (this was originally published on my other account but i wanted to share its meaning to me) The hole fell far beneath them as they stood staring down it. Straggly roots sprouted from its sides. Thorns in the way but they could see the prise a faint light dim glow at it's end. Where was it going? It was going the right way, of that he was sure. It had just hopped down the hole and disappeared. Leon stared over its edge. His eyes gleaned and he was transfixed. He leaned into the Beauty he saw. An awesome beauty an impossible beauty. And yet it was there. He saw its perfect shapes the brilliant colours that contrasted that they produced. And how it seemed to brighten everything. He felt inside him a lurch that was of a calming sort. Shivers ran down his spine comforting him. This is it. He thought. He leaned and fell, fell into the beauty. This is a story about faith. The boy, Leon, saw this thing (Jesus) and didn't know what it was. He saw it got through the hole (#life) without being hit by the thorns (sin). He saw it was the right way to get to the beautiful place (God and a relationship with him) and so wished to follow. This was blind faith recognised by being transfixed on God and not caring about obstacles like the roots and vines and thorns (sin, personal problems and religious problems). The shivers and lurch in his stomach was how I experienced God two years ago but it doesn't always happen like that. As you go through #life you go through struggles and learn. God wants us to be like Leon and follow him.

Perfect Sacrifice The dark sky loomed over head. Clouds grey and angry. Lightening struck. I stood bellow watching the patient crowd. They had been shouting abuse at him. They still were. My head banged from their horrendous squeals and moans. "he saved others but he can't save himself!" they yelled. He was covered in blood and wire no clothes. They had taken them ripped them apart and gambled for them. He was hanging beside two other men. They were both criminals. But he, he was not a criminal. He had done nothing wrong. And yet he was put through this torture instead of the murder. I didn't believe what he said, but neither did I believe he should be killed because of it. He yelled in plea to God. Nothing. He slumped. I had been waiting for hours soon hours as the men screamed with pain. Bloodied and abandoned. They had muttered to each other. Muttered about a new place. A new country? But I could not make it out. Then he cried out and fell back against the hard wood of which he hung. Thunder cracked. Lightening struck. The ground shook and the rock broke. We all cowered down in fright of the dead body as the earthquake shook. I looked up at the man with a thorn crown on his head then the sign above that mocked him. He truly is the king of the Jews! #jesusfreaks (all taken accurately from the bible.)
