Knock-Knock-Knock!
It was a few minutes after midnight, I couldn't get to sleep, as I'm currently working at home, in my own time-schedule, so no hurry getting up in the morning.
I've heard someone knocking on the window.
Right at our room, on our window. As a real woman, I freaked out immediately.
The knocking wasn't loud, so it didn't wake up my boyfriend, who was sleeping like a baby next to me. Then again. Knock-knock-knock. It didn't sound angry or emergent, and that freaked me out even more. I was imagining a psychopath, looking for new toys and enjoyment...
I had to wake up my boyfriend, I was already shaking. It took him some seconds to understand what's going on, I was whispering, explaining the situation when we've heard the knocking again.
My boyfriend just had to pull the curtains apart and look out, who is it. Men never think before doing things. Super, I thought, now our psycho knows, we're at home.
Curtains fell back, we remained silent for the next few seconds.
That psycho was in a white mask with a black hoodie on.
All I've could think about was the "Scream" movies and that we're gonna die.
We ran out of the room, into the lounge. Then we've heard knocking again. On the lounge's window. It couldn't have been the same man, as it was just impossible to be on the other side of the house so quick.
2 men (or women?) or more? Knocking again. It drove us crazy.
We kept on saying to each other "I love you, I love you", we both just wanted this nightmare to be over, we just wanted to wake up to real #life. But that was real #life.
Knock-knock-knock. At the same time, from 3 or 4 different places in the house. More than 2, definitely.
What did they want? They've could just broken the windows so easily, why did they keep on playing with us like this?
Just in a few seconds, so many things were going through my mind.
Like where's the dog, did they kill him? It's just too silent outside. Yeah, sure, they've killed our dog.
The bathroom-window! We left it open. Someone could have came in without any noise, I'm sure someone's already in the house, I've heard something. What was that?
Yes, we're gonna be dead. I hoped it'll be very quick, I didn't want to be tortured or watch how they torture my other half. What? Is he praying? Seriously? He was an atheist. Well, until that night, I guess. I thought miracles can turn people to religion, not fear.
What was that? And who did turn the light on?
Happy Birthday!!!
For goodness sake, our friends! In black hoodies, white masks in their hands... And a birthday cake.
And there were we: standing in the lounge, still shocked, in pants...
Now, I guess it's gonna take some time to find out about a good, sweet revenge... Until then, we'll just enjoy the cake.
/And I'll happily tease my boyfriend about his praying.../
