I do believe he deserved a second chance but I guess being so publicly caught out was a bit much for the poor young lad to cope with. I hope he returns as the work that was his own brought a smile to this old gits face. I consider this small drama over and the matter closed.

@TommyWalsh I suppose so. But police sounds a bit strong. More like the community wardens of the plagiarism world, I suppose. To make sure people are picked up on it but not so humiliated as this poor kid has been. As Seamonster said, it was a bit too much for someone so young.

I thought it was obvious he was plagiarising work from the Internet. That didn't bother me so much as the fact that was he was posting was so age inappropriate. He was 11 years of age and was posting jokes and stories full of swearing and sex. I realise a lot of that is bad parenting, but @seamonster I really think somehow there needs to be someway to either separate 18+ stuff, or have some sort of 13+ rule like Facebook.

@Nom I think that would be disastrous. Stephen Fry did a tv programme about 6 months back called Planet Word. In one episode he said that swear words are just as much a part of our language as anything else. Perhaps, if a younger individual goes on this, there should be parental guidelines, but no actual restrictions.
