The Darkest Art, Chapter 1 It's amazing how fast you can wake up and get ready when you know you're late. I roll over in bed, half asleep, when I realize that the light outside my window is wrong. Its way too bright, and I can hear traffic outside. Uh oh. It takes me ten minutes to dress, eat, and pop in my contact lenses. They're a dark green, as my normal eyes are a vibrant purple. I run outside to find my car, only to see it isn't there. Oh great. Whenever I have a big party, the servants take the cars to a garage a few mile out for safekeeping. Last night is a great example. It was Halloween, and I had thrown the annual town party. My parents were rich, and they left me a but load of money after their "assassination". Not a good idea to leave a seventeen year old over twenty billion dollars in her trust fund. I don't abuse it, I swear. I donate to charity, and I also have a private team of scientists working on a personal issue of mine. Money use aside, I still don't like running to school. Whenever I reach the speed of sound, it does horrors to my hair. Yep, first world problems of a teenage billionaire.
