The Babysitter "Thank you so much, Sydney. Its such a big help. I really appreciate it." "No thank YOU! Its not that big of a deal. And your daughter is adorable, so its a pleasure to watch her." I replied, smiling at Nancy. "Thanks again. I have no money on me right now, so I'll stop at the bank to get your pay on the way back from the dinner. Keep the door locked, and all that stuff. The list is on the fridge. Good luck. We've had some bad luck recently with babysitters. The past 3 actually left before I even got home! Can you believe that? I hope you won't ditch us like they all did! Bye!" Nancy yelled. "And Kaitlyn! Be nice!" She leaned in and whispered, "She doesn't really like babysitters. She said she doesn't need one." Nancy headed out the door. I locked the door behind her and waved goodbye out the window. Then, I walked into the kitchen, where Nancys daughter Kaitlyn was sitting in her elmo booster seat. "Hi Kaitlyn" I said, trying to smile and sound nice and stuff, the way you would normally talk to a 4 year old. "Hi Sydee!" She said, miss prenouncing my name in a cute way. She swung her little legs back and forth, in rhythm with her head. Her huge, blonde curls bounced as her head bobbed back and forth. "How old are you?" I asked. "I'm fauw. How owd are you?" She replied. She meant to say 'four' I guess. I laughed and said. "I'm 18." "Do you want to play a game or something?" "Yes! Lets play hide and seek!" She yelled. She jumped out of her booster seat and speeded towards her room. "Count to twunny!" She yelled. I slowly counted to 20, and yelled "READY OR NOT, HERE I COME!" I could hear her snickering from her room. I opened and closed random cabinets saying are you in here?, to make her think that she can hide well. Then, I slowly entered her bedroom. It was painted glittery pink, and had a hammock and a tiny swing. I would've killed for this room as a kid. I checked behind a table. "Not there...", I said really loud. I heard laughter coming from the closet. When I opened the closet door, a knife tied to a string flew down, piercing right through my chest. The last thing I remember was incredible pain and snickering of a 4 year old girl, dragging me by my foot out to the backyard to bury me.
