Alice in Circles
Prologue: Zero
"Oh, do wake up Alice or you'll miss your party" said Alice's mother to Alice who was sleeping under the family peach tree.
"How VERY strange. I seem to have fallen to sleep in such a wonderfull place" said a blurry eyed Alice. She stood up and began to ask what day it was for she had not payed any attention to what her mother had just said. Fortunately for Alice, her mother was no where to be found and was likely already back at the house. "how terribly unfortunate" thaught Alice as she started her short journey back towards her home. Suddenly a thaught jumped her mind. How curious it was that she had found herself in such a place without any reason or knowledge to why she was in this such place in the first place. Surely there must be some sort of reason she had found her self in her place which was surely MUCH appretiated by her mother for she would not be in this place if that WERE the case. Unsure but rather confident nevertheless to what she had just thaught, Alice set off in search of an answer to this particular mystery. How unexpected it must have been to stumble into such an animal than a white rabbit in a waistcoat.
Alice found herself lying feet down with one foot forwards and one foot behind her back.
"the ceiling is particularly dull today" she thaught out loud when a fluffy voice spoke in her right ear. "Why oh why must the sky be grey, when a shade of red would make a nicer day".
"How unusual. I was just thinking the same thing" said Alice as she turned over to come face to face with the rabbit again. It twinged it's wiskers, gave a big grin, and set off in a peculiar direction. As Alice pondered to whether rabbits could even smile, she felt a strong inclination to follow such a rabbit and was especially curious to where it may or may not have dissapeared to. Naturally, the MOST correct action would have been to follow the rabbit. Alice told herself this as she hurriedly chased him down a rabbit hole. She believed it to be a him, since his waistcoat had tails.
Before she knew it, she was already far within the earth. "it IS suprising how often I find myself in these perculiar circumstances" Alice thaught. She turned sharply left before realising that she was so called falling downwards down the ditch. Curiously calm, Alice performed several rotations and took in the suroundings briskfully as she fell. A tabled notebook, three wooden spoons, a dolled figure, fifteen glass candels, a battered old piano with two strings missing and a stool to match, and an outstandingly blue wardrobe. "This must be the home of a VERY stylish person" she thaught. All of a sudden she stopped falling. "I must have hit the floor" she thaught outloud again. She looked at her feet and concluded that she HAD infact hit the floor.
She span quickly to the sound of dolls, tables and candles crashing to the ground in the scale of A-Minor. The dolls head snapped off and rolled poignantly towards what appeared to be a mossly gravestone at the foot of which layed an iron stopwatch. Curiously so patiently she was, she examined the interesting aspects of the watch such as the numbers and flimsy bits. The clockface was smashed, the hands and arms were all twisted and there was a feint smell of bitterness but nevertheless she pocketed the stopwatch for it reminded her of something she once had. Exactly one minute later the minute hand hit one past twelve but Alice did not notace for she was already in search of a place to be. This place happened to be a room in-which an apple tree stood, the door for which was inconveniant and painted blue.
