Rabbit Running Scared The sound of her voice resonates the room like a smell would, the syllable of every word drifts through the sunlight like dust and settles on every surface and every wall in the house. I'm a fading memory in this burning town, I need a place to lay my head, a place to call home but all I got was ashes. Not much of a home, it's more of a hell or a mental prison that stole my sanity long ago. Ashes of a world I'd forgot scattered across the surface. Chained to the chair and the dreams I envision, I'm sinking to the bottom and searching the ocean floor, finding solace in places I'd thought I'd lost it. A broken reflection, a door I'd close and never open. Like the door to my coffin. Salvation is no more a dream than a nightmare. #life's the hungry dog with its teeth to my throat and I'm the rabbit running scared. Diving down the hole to escape this world, feverish skin melting snow. I could say follow the white rabbit to find your way home but if you see the rabbit you know the madness owns your mind. Look at the clock, it's already half passed that time. Don't be late, tick tock, tick tock, The hour hands move in circles in fast motion as the world spins out from underneath my feet. I find myself a stranger to my surroundings with no name walking aimlessly down the street with nowhere to be. Coming to a fork in the road, I took the path that lead the farthest away from home and never looked back. Now madness owns me.
Alienlike The world left behind cold, colorless and gray, black and white, opaque, all essence emptied from the living, pale childlike faces crowd the street, gasping for a final breath, choking on the dust and ash... Torn from the roots that keeps this world in place, running in circles, around and around, on and on, the cycle pushes forward until this planet endures all it can take, the surface starts to crack, crumbling underneath your feet, run into the flames, scream for your #life, winds shift, we've been caught in the drift and pulled into the sky, violently pulled apart by gravity, bodies ripped to shreds in the impact, nothing now but the smell of death, as the earth starts to bleed itself dry, a new reality sets in, survival of the fittest never meant to death, how selfish we'd become, creatures born of boredom and habit. It's time we've been evacuated, we could never learn from our own manmade disasters so the watchers decided mankind is the disease of earth and extermination of all humanity is the only answer. The odds were never in our favor. Extinction is closer than we think. Trapped like rats, breeding like rabbits, dropping like flies. The invasion has begun, "Test subject number one please get back in line." The voice echoed through the skies. They came from above, The earth was their project and we nearly destroyed it because the only happiness we find is in self destruction. We were born to think we were the humans but the truth is, we're the aliens. Unknown #lifeforms, curious entities... They'll bury the bodies, replant them in the ground, watch us grow in the mist. A human harvest. An architect of the mind. Awaiting a creator to construct a new universe. A garden that moans for #life. A theater that tells the story of humanities suffering. In this alien like wasteland, time and space is infinite and physical pain cannot be felt but the future for the earth still remains as indefinite as the day the first human opened their eyes to the world.
So Much For Serenity Separating myself from the human race, breaking ground, fighting gravity and pulled into space. Abducted and brainwashed and I've become a contortionist. A drone lost in orbit, my lips grazed the sun, I've been draped in stardust. Buried in sand. Choking on the fumes from another planet as the gases exonerate my lungs from the burden of breathing. Colors and textures surround me, I burst into flames and from the ashes I rise and form into my final state of existence "Only you control the elements..." I heard the voice of reason whisper... Air, fire, water earth... it's all at my fingertips. I've been dismantled and made into the perfect alien. Light years away I've reached immorality. The stars reflect my destiny and every falling star you see is most likely me fighting my own race in a battle to destroy the earth, these humans, the hands of destruction. I've been lost in space for sometime, I lost all transmissions with the humans. Out sailing the atmosphere, looking at the universe through a microscope, atoms and molecules form the perfectly flawed man and call him a god. Just to watch the earth shape into something beautiful and be destroyed in an instance. Light years away I've reached immorality. The stars reflect my destiny and I've become deathless. Humanity has become the definition for hatred. Constant regression. This is extinction. Burning out with sun, scoring earth, My body's burning with the world, behold this everlasting fire burning on the earths tortured surface, in the ashes, upon reincarnation, #life is breathed back into the flames through the elements decision. A phoenix awaits. Through the wormhole. I've touched other dimensions. I've placed time, shaped space, changed my future, but I'm still unprepared for the present and looking back my past is a portal to a black hole. In the smoke my surroundings are constantly but never changing in a world growing cold. In contradicting my every word I find myself an apparition in the flames engulfing the earth in fire to keep it warm. I've reached immortality. So much for serenity and a long #life. Existence is suffering and sometimes you must suffer to survive.
Animals As Leaders We've been broken into pieces, torn, dismantled, lobotomized and buried and burnt alive but from the scraps and the ashes we found we created more than we had and I found myself lost in a realm divided between men and monsters. I found unity in numbers and together what divides us will be severed at the link. Erasing my past #life I'm looking through the eyeglass into the center of the earth and I see a future in flames and the world underwater. I see the hands behind the curtains controlling the drones aimlessly contorting our bones and we follow to where they want us to go. We're in a system like clockwork on the daily grinding metal on metal. We've become machines with every movement. But the harder we work the more we learn yet there's no progress. Assigning footwork and servants, animals in suits, born into leaders. Identities imprinted with a serial number. A dead man walking speaking politics who thinks he's entitled. A self serving elitist a manipulative liar and a hungry predator. Proudly starting wars, living a privileged #life barricaded in bomb shelters looking to climb the food chain and outnumber everyone and trade our blood for sand even if it's our own extinction at our hands. -Note: This Is Inspired And Named After An Amazing Instrumental Progressive Metal Band-
