In Another World.
I like to think there's another world,
Not unlike this one,
One where all the battles that we've lost,
Become the ones we've won.
A world where your hands,
Are made perfectly for mine,
And where my frown is turned,
Upside down,
A world where we never cross that line,
Never get angry, never get sad,
Never lose everything we had.
Because I miss it all.
I pray that there is a place,
Where we did work out,
A world without all the doubt,
Without all the pain,
The fear,
I just wish we could do it again,
But never shed a tear,
Never need to dry those eyes,
Never need to compromise,
And we'd laugh at the idea of death,
That we'd always share our last breath.
In another world.
But here I am,
In my world,
Always giving a damn,
My brow always furled,
A different Adam, and a different Sam,
Being more than what I am,
Being two people instead of one,
One battle that I wished I had won.
