In His Shadow Chapter -3- My head snapped up to bennett, i groaned. " please god let this be a nightmare", i said under my breath. But apparently mr. Brooding caught what i said and his already icy gaze felt even colder if that was possible. Emilia cut thad a look that told him to shut up and thanks to the heavens he did. " maybe we should leave you alone", she looked between me and bennett then continued," you have to explain things to her ben, she knows nothing". His jaw was tight and in the battle of the eye color the gray won this time, his eyes were silvery gray, it was kind of scary to watch. He shook his head " she needs to rest first, before we move location tomorrow i'll explain everything". With that he stormed out to the rain. I looked around, the place looked like a motel and the room was medium, there was a bed in the middle and a lamp on, beside that it was dark. My gaze shifted to a bag in the corner when thad's voice broke into my curious brain. " it's harder for him to take this than it's for us", he stated. "why?", i said. He looked at Emilia before he spoke, she sighted and sat down on the only chair in the room. " i met em twenty years ago", he said. My eyes widened" how is that possible? You barely look twenty now". It was em who spoke now" how much do you know about the supernatural world?", she asked. " like vampires and werewolves and stuff?" She nodded. " well i read a little about them but beside that i don't know much", i confessed. She sighted again" this is going to be harder than i expected", she murmured to herself. Looking up she asked " ok so how much do you know about your father then?". That was easy " nothing" I have never met my father, the times when i asked my mother about him she dismissed the matter saying i shouldn't think about a heartless person who left his only child. Emilia looked taken aback" nothing?" I shrugged" mom hated talking about him". " i wonder why", she said sarcastically. I frowned" wait, you know my father?" Thad chipped in " who doesn't? I Want Crazy Chapter -2- Juliane : four years ago I stared for what felt like forever, I could hear the blur of the other guys while the moved away and ran in the other direction but I couldn't look away from those eyes , they weren't gray nor blue , they were silver . In the literal sense. One of his eyes twitched like he was in pain then he fell to his knees , that's when the spell of his eyes broke and I was actually able to move. I ran to him and knelt beside him, his cheek was bleeding and he was gripping the side of his stomach tightly. Both my hands were hovering over him like I didn't know if either I should touch him or not, I was panicking, shaking and barely able to form words. " are you ... Hurt ?? I mean are you bleeding somewhere else?", my voice was unrecognizable even to my own ears. He groaned once and tried to sit up but couldn't. " you shouldn't move ", I put a hand on his shoulder but he moved away from me like my touch burned somehow. " please talk so I know you don't have any brain damage" , I was still kneeling ," what's your name?" After I waited and he didn't answer I pulled out my phone ready to call an ambulance, I was about to dial when he gripped the phone. " Tate ... ", his voice was hoarse," my name is Tate" He finally opened his eyes and I sucked in a breath, they weren't silver anymore, they were a vivid blue, so clear I felt like I was looking at the ocean. I slowly pried my phone out of his hands ," I should really call an ambulance or the police", his eyes widened but I kept on talking ," you should go to a hospital " He shook his head once and took a deep breath, then he started getting up like he wasn't just beaten half to death. I sat back stunned ," what-" He put a hand on the nearby wall and stared down at me," I'm fine, no need for a hospital" Even though he said those I could still detect a hint of pain in his voice, he hid it well but it was still there, I was an expert at pretending so he didn't fool me. " no you are not , I'll just-" He cut me off again," this doesn't freaking concern you ", he said through gritted teeth ," I didn't ask for your help" I sat there stunned. My face must have looked pathetic because he sighed and lowered his head ," I'm sorry I didn't mean to be that rude" I finally got up to stand beside him but even though he was hunched over his hand that was still clinging to the wall , I had to look up to meet his eyes , he was probably over six feet. " it's okay", I managed to say in a barely there voice. " you should go", he whispered ," I'll be fine" I debated whither I should listen or not but one look at his down cast face told me if I didn't want to be yelled at again I should just leave . But I couldn't , no matter how much I willed my feet to move I couldn't leave his side " Tate " He looked at me and waited for me to go on. " my house is just up the road , we have a first aid kit, I can at least cover your cheek and clean it ?" I finished on a whispered question. I was waiting for him to huff in annoyance or say something rude, how ever I did not see the smile coming. One side of his mouth tilted up and he chuckled, I was mesmerized that I missed what he said, my cheeks burning bright red I cleared my throat and asked ," em ... What ?" The smile was still on his lies ," I said are you always this stubborn ?" I blushed even deeper, I could feel the heat coming off my cheeks , " maybe ?", I smiled back and he laughed. " well red , let's go clean my cut", he motioned for me to walk before him. I made a step and stopped " red ?" He shook his head and gestured for me to walk again without an answer. I smiled to myself and actually contemplated over the notion that something good might come out of this event even though I hand enough doubts to build a bridge to never never land. I should have known better than trust the he- whom changed my #life.

In His Shadow Chapter -2- I looked around to see if thad or Emilia were smiling to confirm that this was some kind of a joke but there faces were passive, no expression what so ever. I looked back at Mr. Brooding and his eyes were stormy, the blue and gray fighting to take dominance, it was a sight to be seen. " i'm here to protect you", he continued. This was ridiculous, i was a 19 year old high school graduate for heavens sake, what danger can i be in. " look mr. Dark and dangerous or what ever, i don't need protection, i haven't done anything needs protecting from so you can take your pretty face and go protect some one else". Now i was satisfied.but it only lasted a minute. Thad bursted out laughing and em was barely holding her laughter in, mr. Brooding just looked at me. " that was the first time i have ever heard any one talk to you like that man", thad said while still laughing, " we sure as hell are a long way from home". Bennett looked back at thad " quiet", just as the words left his mouth the other two went silent. Then he focused that stormy gaze on me" this matter is not in debate, i'm here to protect you and that's what i shall do either you like it or not miss cross". I glared at him" this is the 21st century so if i don't want you around thats up to me, and i really don't want you around". " i'm afraid its not up to you this time", he said coldly. I blinked in surprise to his boldness, if he was here to protect me then he was doing a terrible job because the only thing i wanted to be protected from was him. " you have no right to tell me what to do sir", i emphasized on the word 'sir'. Thad apparently couldn't keep quiet any longer" he does have the right", he said looking kind of sympathetic. I frowned" why is that?". The words were out of his mouth before mr. Brooding was able to say quiet one more time. " he is your mate", thad said. mr. Brooding growled and i stood there frozen. " as in your soul mate", thad continued.

In His Shadow Chapter -1- I couldn't breath. I tried turning but the place was too tight, it was dark and smelled funny. I had claustrophobia damn it! I tried to turn again but my hands were stuck by my sides, i felt movement. I listened and there was muffled sounds, people talking. But the damn box was too thick so i couldn't make out what they were saying. I thought about the last thing i remembered before i woke up in this hell hole. I don't know how long i have been in here but the last thing i remember was stumbling out of the club, drunk. It was one of my friends birthday so we used our fake IDs to go into a club, the night went fast and the entire time i felt watched but didn't pay much attention to it, silly me. When i stepped out of the club for some fresh air, i saw a shadow behind me and that's the last thing i remember. I listened closely, there were at least two people around talking, i think one was a female. We stopped and i heard a rattling sound so i closed my eyes and faked sleeping then the box opened. A raspy deep voice said " i know you are awake shaw". I opened my eyes to one of the strangest eyes i have ever seen, i couldn't decide if it was blue or gray, it looked like floating ice. I looked at the rest of the face, holly shit. He had the most beautiful face ever created, perfect bone structure, full lips, straight nose, jet black hair. perfection. " hello", he said coldly. I sat up and saw the two other people, a blond guy with brown eyes and a black haired girl with black eyes. The guy smiled"don't freak her out ben, hey i'm thad", he came and extended his hand, i just looked at it. The girl came to stand beside thad, she was really pretty. " i'm Emilia, you can call me em, this" she smiled at thad, " is my boyfriend thad and that brooding guy is bennett, my brother" I tried to presses all of this" this is all so fascinating but what the hell does that have to do with me? Did you kidnap me?", i was seriously freaking out. Thad looked at em and then at me" you are not safe", he stated. " what?", i squeaked. Mr. Brooding came forward" he is right you are not safe". " safe? Safe from what? And what does that have to do with you?", i glared at him. He looked into my eyes" it has everything to do with me", he came closer ," i'm your shadow". I think i heard him wrong" my what?" His eyes shifted, it was defiantly blue" shadow".

I Want Crazy Chapter 1 Juliane : four years ago Laugh with many,trust a few. In all my almost sixteen years that was my motto, yep, I had serious trust issues that I just couldn't help, I kind of figured that it was a complementary from my father ,the cop. And due to said trust issues It was my first time in almost three months to actually go out and act normal instead of my usual geeky self. I smoothed my hand down the brand new sundress I was wearing and scrunched up my nose at how awful my hair looked , the damn Ombre locks wouldn't behave. " you look fantastic !", mom exclaimed from the doorway and I smiled at her in the mirror, she looked much better than last week, it was one of her good days and that's why she could convince me to leave the room. She had third stage breast cancer and the first time my parents sat me down and told me the news it was like a piece of me died that day. Even through all the sickness she brought joy to my #life and she was a ray of sunshine in my dull young #life. It wasn't that I was a depressed little girl, I'm not some sort of disturbed teenager. I just felt like I didn't belong, I never had the feeling that I was home , that I was safe and happy. No matter how much my parents tried I felt like there was something missing and I couldn't feel happy, I even convinced them to take me to a psychiatrist but the poor guy just gave up eventually. He specially gave up after I told him about my dreams , why you ask ? Because I had the same dream for as long as I can remember. The dream always started with me being caged, the feeling of being trapped was the first thing that I remembered after the dreams usually ended , i was in a cage and after I shook the bars with all my strength the dream transformed to me running in the woods, but the funny thing was it wasn't like I was running from something, no , I was actually chasing, I felt the thrill , the adrenalin rush , like I was on a hunt. Then i would end up facing the cage that I was trapped in but this time a white almost silver like wolf would be in the cage, the wolf always perked up when I got there then it starts to scratch at the bars and makes whimpering sounds like its wounded. I try helping the animal out but I never succeed in opening the cage no matter how many times I have that dream. Thats when I wake up covered in a sheen of sweat, my heart beating so loudly I feel it slam against my rib cage and the trapped feeling clawing at my insides. I shake off the memories and try to humor my mother " I like the dress mom , thank you" , I smile warmly at her. I can see the pride glint in her tired looking eyes ," I knew you would love, just like I know you will really enjoy going out and acting your age for a change " I roll my eyes ," come on mom you know it's not my scene yet you push me anyways " , I scoff. She laughs and pats my cheek ,"if I don't push, you would age to forty by the time you actually reach your eightieth birthday , stop reading constantly and get a friend " I look down at the floor and try to sound a bit more cheerful than I feel just for her sake " i'm trying , it's not like it's my fault they can't see how charming and utterly amazing I am", It actually comes out sounding sarcastic. She shakes her head with a small smile ," you are baby , it just takes the right person to see that" After mom fusses over my hair and makeup , the little I actually put on, I'm in my way to some girl's house that I haven't talked to even once, but apparently she told my mother that she would be delighted to have me. I doubt it , but what the hell. I walk down the street, her house is at the end of the block and I can see people pouring inside by the second. It's gonna get crowded real soon and I'm so not looking forward to it. I'm not so big on crowds. I pass by the Henderson house and hear a noise, like the hit of something against flesh. I freeze in my spot and contemplate if I should just leave or feed my curiosity. Every survival instinct inside me pushes me to keep walking while a rebellious streak urges me to go and see what that noise was. Before I even know what i'm doing I find my self walking on the soft grass and toward the thuds. I round the corner and my eyes bulge out. Two guys are holding another up while the the fourth is delivering punches in various parts of the guys body. The one that's being hit repeatedly doesn't seem very keen on giving a reaction beside the soft grunts leaving his lips. " told ya not to show your face remy, I warned you but you seem like you enjoy the pain as much as I enjoy delivering it to you", the guy with the fists flying grits out in between punches. The guy being hit , or remy as he was called just leaves his head hanging. The guy delivers an exceptionally hard hit to remy's face and blood sputters from his cracked cheek. Even in the dark I see the trail of blood sliding down his cheek and dripping on to the concrete floor. And before I know it my mouth opens and I scream the first word that comes to my mind. " STOP !!! " All heads turn in my direction but one thing is holding my interest at the moment. Remy's head whips up and my eyes clash with his silver gaze. His eyes are glowing like the#moonabove my head.
