Darkness Seeps Sleep eludes me tonight. This bed meant for two, now sleeps only one. Sunken warm and ruffled,  the part on the side where I lay; cold and smooth on yours. Darkness seeps as I close my eyes. I hear my thoughts and it screams! My name as it leaves your lips. Your breath hot on my neck. Your touch hungry on my skin. May hand reaches out  to find that familiar form but there’s really nothing there. Just the air of emptiness, fading memories,  and the cold unruffled sheets.
