On Being A Hero 6 years old and a dreamer "What do you want to be when you grow up son? A firefighter? An astronaut?" A marine I'd say. How many 6 year olds really want that? To be shot at knowing death could comes a bit sooner. "Now why would you want to do that son?" I wanted to be a hero I wanted to save & protect. A hero Today when I am asked I give a fancy name I'll show you a degree Has anything thing changed? I'd like to think its all the same All around us Notions of ideas & heroes Achilles, Superman Batman, Heracles Strong McSteamy 6 pack Is it hard to live up to that If I get a 6 pack Am I a hero? 6 year old hoping to have abs of his own. Dreaming of abs to be McSteamy Just to reach my dream Save the girl Save the world Then and only Will you be loved Understand all heroes are dreamy Understand you need to be smart Or strong Handsome Check all of the above then apply Experience preferred But not needed Good looks required You are too fat You are too small You are too ugly Why do you want to be a hero? On Time Travel Time travel contains a famous question that all ask themselves. "If you could go back in time and fix your mistakes or change anything,would you & what would it be?" If I could go back in time and make it so you still mine, make it so we had a #life together, till death do us part, I would. Maybe we could have kids in our dream house and sit on the porch as old wrinkly people. You making me Mac n cheese while I feed you Oreos. The #life we always talked about. Maybe I would go back and make it so I never met you, so I would never know this feeling and I could live easier. If I did that, sure I would have lived a #life with a bit less agony. But is it not the agony that lets us know we are alive? Or is it the little things, the things that make us happy that let us know we are human & alive? No I would never change anything about us because looking back, those were the happiest times of my #life, with you. I'd rather not change a thing. Now I am able to use your memory to help make more memories. Make someone else as happy as you made me. Spread the love right? I know we can't dwell on the past because that's how we get stuck. But there is one thing I would change. I would have held you longer. I would of given you an extra kiss every time. Then a long slow one.
