Introduction to my novel I love to write novels, and I'm working on one right now - here's the intoduction (not finished or edited yet); I felt the fear ease when I landed on a branch while waiting for the rain to subside. A small squirrel sat in another tree and gnawed on a pinrcone. It looked presevering and not the least concerned by the enormous flock of crows that just had swept past the night sky. I tried to get some rest when I saw something almost luminous in the distance. It was a girl wearing a long, white, silk kimono that had got damp in the wet grass. In her hand she held a similar colored umbrella and I noticed that she was actually barefoot. The rain pattered against the umbrella, but she was still moving gracefully and gently. The squirrel threw the finished pinecone at the ground, so that it hitted a bare rock below. The girl flinched a little and looked at the pinecone. Her incredibly icy blue eyes were mezmerizing in the dark, and her blond hair looked like light, golden silk. She took a look one more time before she began to walk again. I was curious, the human inside me really wanted to follow her and see where she was going to go this night, maybe even ask her something just to hear what her voice would sound like. But my animal instincts stopped me, and told me that humans are dangerous. and though I fought against it, it still won.
