Burn Warmth paints the walls Smoke fills their lungs They scramble for freedom All they meet are burns Loved ones lost Stood outside alone With nothing but the memories Of those now gone. The men in uniform came Water at the ready With a few sperts Their luck is out Heads, they turn Eyes they do meet As all are desperate to save the lives But nothing prevailed. The victims they watch With tear stains As they watch their lives go up in flames Their world they did build From the place they called home That was now filled of screams And images of horrors. Many had died, children and adults alike None had priority For once, there was equality That one faithful day dragged onto three Where the world outside watched in their own homes. Now a few stand Hand in hand The only comfort that can be brought to one another As they stand united Their eyes not dried And not a thing to their name Except each other. ------------------- Not sure why, but I felt the need to write this and share it. Sorry for it sucking!
