Again I can love, I'm open, I'm ready, Is there anyone to ask - "Want to go steady?" Am I just hopeless, A hopeless romantic, Stuck in the real world, Growing more frantic - I thought you were perfect, I had no qualms, But then you go quiet - It rings all the alarms, Same old. Same old. Hope's down the drain. Perhaps give up heart, And settle for brain.
