Michael Collins auction → Someone’s SELLING a lock of Michael Collins’ hair and a swab that was used to clean his face after he was shot?! Seriously? That’s just wrong. It should be given to a museum or at least buried with him in Glasnevin! It’s so disrespectful. Anyone can buy it, too, so it could end up in anyone’s hands… He was and is a symbol of Irish freedom and this is what he gets? I’m glad that people are outraged because so am I, it’s so awful...

They have stopped the lock of hair going to auction and are giving it to the museum. Same will probably happen the cotton cloth.
