Jesus. I went to the square today to see if I could exchange my Paul Simon tickets for better ones on a better date but now I'm home and it's earlier than school would normally end and my Mam's still home even though she's supposed to be at work... did she just leave her car there or something? Aaahhh I don't want to check in case she sees me while she's leaving or something!!! And if one of my Mam's friends spot me I'm gone. Shiz. Why am I so useless?! I haven't even got my phone and my feet are wet cos it was raining earlier! Balls. Fudge balls with a cherry inside.
Michael Collins auction → Someone’s SELLING a lock of Michael Collins’ hair and a swab that was used to clean his face after he was shot?! Seriously? That’s just wrong. It should be given to a museum or at least buried with him in Glasnevin! It’s so disrespectful. Anyone can buy it, too, so it could end up in anyone’s hands… He was and is a symbol of Irish freedom and this is what he gets? I’m glad that people are outraged because so am I, it’s so awful...
Scarborough Fair/ Canticle Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. Remember me to one who lives there She once was a true love of mine. Tell her to make me a cambric shirt - On the side of a hill in the deep forest green Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme - Tracing a sparrow on snow-crested ground Without no seams nor needlework - Blankets and bedclothes the child of the mountain. Then she'll be a true love of mine - Sleeps unaware of the clarion call Tell her to find me an acre of land - On the side of a hill, a sprinkling of leaves Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme - Washes the ground with so many tears Between the salt water and the sea strand - A soldier cleans and polishes a gun Then she'll be a true love of mine. Tell her to reap it in a sickle of leather - War bellows, blazing in scarlet battalions Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme - Generals order their soldiers to kill And to gather it all in a bunch of heather - And to fight for a cause they've long ago forgotten Then she'll be a true love of mine. Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. Remember me to one who lives there She once was a true love of mine. -Simon and Garfunkel
