Winter Wonder I often sit and wonder On a cold winters day What treasures spring will bring What weather we'll have in may Will the grass be covered in dew or frost? Or snowfall from the night before? Will we awake on springs morn With sunlight at our door? Will the air be full of birdsong? Repeating in our heads Will the fog creep closer still Whist we are tucked up in our beds? Will the rain lash at our windows? The droplets race to the sill Will the wind expose the trunks Of trees upon the hill? As the weather flits between extremes The ground erupts with #life The bugs and shrubs grow stronger Strengthened by their strife The clouds become fluffy, the sun hotter Summers on its way But still i sit and wonder On a cold winters day
