I knew I wasn't awake but I couldnt remember what happened... Emerald woke up one morning and opened the curtains letting the light shine onto her lovely hair. The ripples of the ocean reflected off her green eyes,"lovely day for a surf" . Emerald was a good surfer, she had won many awards like the Devon high tide award. She went down stairs and was opening the fridge door as her mother walked in. She was raging, "emerald why didn't you tell me you bought a £600 surf board and spent £80 on wax for it, you know we can't afford this." Emerald looked upset. " mum we can live of the money I win and don't you remember...it's my birthday" emerald was in tears when her mother forgot. She was so sad she just wanted to go and surf so she ran out the room grabbed her board and left. When she had finished her dash and came out at the shore, there was something different with emerald, she felt alone.
