The Blue Light It’s a cold, gloomy day and three friends David, Simon and Rich are plain out bored. They’re stuck inside doing nothing but lying on the couch bored out of their minds where they’d rather not be. Even though it’s cold they decide to go out anyways. “Hey guys why don’t we go out to the forest I found this really tall tree house we can go to.” Said Simon. “Sure why not there’s nothing else to do anyways” replied David. Simon starts walking towards the tree followed by David and Rich. The sun starts to set as the three boys get farther and farther away from their house. “C’mon man, like where the heck are we, we’ve been going for almost an hour now. Do you even know where we are or how to get back!?!?!” screamed Rich. “Calm down man, I’ve been here a few times already I know what I’m doing.” The boys walk for a few more minutes and Simon starts to realize he was wrong and doesn’t recognize where they are at all. He wonders how they’ll find their way back and how he will tell his friends. He starts looking around warily trying to figure out where they are. He feels a cold long shiver run up his spine as the sky turns pitch black. All of a sudden he hears a big crash as he sees a strike of lightning crash right before his eyes. He feels as if the big heavy trees are caving in on him screaming at him, telling him he was stupid and shouldn’t have come here in the first place. Simon and his friends start running and screaming as the rain started pouring on their faces and the strikes of lightning started getting louder and louder. They soon find themselves running towards a bright blue light hoping it could be there father and mother holding a flashlight looking for them. But as they ran closer and closer and the light starting getting bigger and bigger they realized it was not there parents but something else, but what? Even though they had no idea what was coming for them once they got to that blue light they kept running because the fear of the lightning and darkness seemed to have chased them into the light. “Where the heck are we? “Questioned David. “But I thought we were just…the lightning…..and the forest. But…but. Stuttered Rich. The three boys were astonished from what they saw. They were surrounded by buildings made of candy, lollypops, sour keys and licorice. “That blue light must’ve been a portal “said Simon. “You can’t be serious Simon, you’ve been reading too many Narnia books. Replied David. “I think he’s right David what else could this be. Were surrounded by mountains of candy, I’m not just going to sit here waiting for an explanation. “Replied Rich. The three boys went along eating all the candy they were never allowed to eat until they were as bloated as balloons. This was the best thing that has happened in well forever. But at night everything changed the world that was once amazing turned into a nightmare. All buildings that once stood have now disappeared. All left are forests and mountains. Worst of all monsters, demons the unimaginable comes out. All in the pitch black of the night. "Guys what's happening!?" Said David. "We gotta get out of here before..." A huge ear piercing roar explodes as huge stomps follow behind them. A ginormous monster the size of a 100 storey building starts chasing them. "I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die, I don't wanna..." Says Rich as he gets cut off by Simon. "You're gonna die if you keep standing there like an idiot screaming!" Said Simon with a hint of fear in his voice. Run!!! The three boys start running as fast as possible trying not to trip over their own feet. They see the portal in the distance and start running towards it. "Oh no the portals starting to close!" Screamed Simon. What if we don't make what if we get stuck here forever? Simon starts thinking to himself. Rich starts losing his breath and slows down. He doesn't notice the branch sticking out right in front of him and trips over it as it slices his leg. " Ahhh" he screamed. The portal starts closing faster and faster the monster gets closer and closer. The three boys start slowing down because they are now dragging Rich behind then. "Maybe I should just leave him behind he's slowing us down. We'll make it for sure if we didn't have to drag him....but I can't he's my friend." Thought simon. Ugh we'll just have to keep going." Simon gets his front foot through the portal but the door is closing faster and faster and there is only a foot between them and the other side. "We need to get through we need to survive" Simon says as the blue light starts getting smaller and smaller. But he soon comes out of his daze realizing he's lying in the middle of the forest while his friends scream his name. “Simon, Simon wake up!”
