Hello all, I'd like to ask for some advice. You see there's this girl whom I like, and I like her a lot, but I don't know what to do. For one, I've never dated anyone before, and I'm afraid I'll screw it all up. For another thing, all of my friends that know this girl, hate her. I don't know why, but they do, and now because of these 2 things; I don't know what to do. If you'd like to help I'd really appreciate it as I'm quite confused right now. James

Forget about your friends. The fact they they don't like her isn't relative. Simply talk to the girl at first. Let her get to know you. And ask her lots of questions. Lots of them. I of course mean questions about her, not "Do you know what the capital of Bolivia is?". Show interest in her. She will like it. Girls like questions and you get to known more about her. When you feel comfortable around her, then ask her out. Remember: What your friends think of this girl is not worrying about.
