Fire Inside It all started from a spark. I was...... I don't even know what I was. I wasn't brought into this world from being born from my mother, I don't even think I have a mother, so that was eliminated. Was I just there, like Adam and Eve, who were the first, ever? I don't know how I came into this world, but I can tell you what I did once I was on it. This is my story, and since I already started it, I might as well finish it. • • • • I was walking on the street when I met him. (Like I mentioned before, I have no idea how I got in this world, so I started out walking on a street) I must have looked horrible. Horrible as in, I was six years old (Roughly) and covered in rags. He approached me. "Would you like to come inside?" He had kind eyes. I opened my mouth to speak but, I couldn't speak. Remember I just came into this world. He must have understood that I wanted to go inside because he merely grabbed my hand a led me into his home. • • • • My eyes widened in wonder. I looked around the room, spinning in a circle absorbing in everything I could. I saw a crackling fireplace, a glass chandelier, and a huge grand staircase. I had no idea what these things were, but somehow, when he spoke to me, I understood! "I will teach you to read and write, show you to your room and you shall belong here and only here. Follow me please." I followed him up the staircase and he opened a door to the left of the hallway. He showed me a nice little room, with green walls and a white dresser and a matching wardrobe and bedposts. The quilt spread on the bed was littered with small flowers. "This is to be your room. I hope you like it. Change into your bedclothes and climb into bed. You shall start your lessons in the morning." He closed the door, and I placed a small hand on the handle of the wardrobe. It's contents were simple. A plain white dress, and a pale pink, silk nightgown. I slid on the nightgown ( With some effort) and climbed into the bed, and , feeling very safe, drifted off to sleep.
