Rumor I am a rumor. Infectious, and nasty. I spread faster than wildfire. No one knows where I originate from. I am just a lie, that starts in one place, and ends up in another. People spreading me around don’t realize how much I can hurt others. I’m so contagious; even worse than a disease. I will make you cry, make you hurt, and make you feel like everyone around you is judging your every move. People throw me around, like I’m some cuddly teddy bear. I let people think that I am the truth, but beware, I’m far from it. I am willing to stab you in the back at any time, and if you’re not careful, I’ll get you when you least expect it. I am the words that eat people away the most, bringing them down till they break. I tear them apart, every second. So next time you want to pass me on, ask yourself: Does this even involve me? If you want the real story about a situation, you might as well just go and ask that person the truth. Lies are sweet, but the truth hurts. Which one would you rather have?
