The Passing Of Emotion I had a vision about you, I don't know why A vision of a tree suspended high in the sky I thought it was over, that I could let it be But then I saw the Guillemots fly over the sea As the rain on the misty mountain falls And the wind blows through the field I know now I may never forget you And my love, it will never yield Running down through river reeds Wandering to river bed And into water, how it bleeds Turning it to river red Finger resting on the trigger It wants to end it now But blind belief grows bigger And to shoot, I don't know how Even now my memory's fading And my heart no longer aches It feels no love nor pain And it no longer burns nor breaks A final gasp of breath More of a whimper than a roar As I struggle to write these words I know The end will end the beginning as before Those guillemots will never return Never come back across the sea Time and love are illusions Even my dream is only a memory
