Counting Sheep Since I was little, whenever couldn't fall asleep, my mother would tell me to count sheep jumping over a fence. Since then, whenever I couldn't fall asleep, that's what I'd do, and it'd always work. But one day, I thought - I really thought about it instead of just doing it. I thought about fences, and how they usually block off something dangerous, like a cliff or predators. After that, I kind of realized that making so many sheep jump over a fence and possibly off a cliff wasn't a great way to fall asleep. My point here? Don't always just listen to what people tell you. Question it, wonder about it. Think.
