Blackbird Preface: When you were born, you didn't give much thought on how you would live, or how you would die. Actually, you didn't think at all; all you knew how to do was eat, sleep, and poop your pants to the point where your parents were considering throwing you out the window and dancing away their worries. But when Raven was born, she already knew how the first few years of her #life would turn out. You see, certain humans, only a select few, posses supernatural gifts. Raven, a baby born with perfectly curly black hair and bright violet eyes that were rimmed with long curly eyelashes, had the gift of knowledge. Her knowledge was incredible, and she used it to her advantage, always coming out on top. Her parents were thrilled, although they didn't know of her second sense. Her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Smith were actually happy because their daughter was far more beautiful than everyone else, and more graceful, and more intelligent.... You get the idea. Raven had grown to be a priceless gem. Her bright purple eyes made her seem more mysterious and alluring. Her eyelashes had gotten longer, and they brushed again her cheek when she looked down. Her curly jet black hair hung in perfect ringlets to her slim waist. What the men of the village noticed, however, was her body. She was built like a god, never needing supports to hold her dress up or needing to lose weight. Was it possible for someone to be born perfect? Raven had a good #life, living in riches and being pretty. But she wasn't a tycoon. She was sweet, caring. In fact, she donated most of her daily earnings, which she got from her father, to charity of the orphans and helping them find good homes. She was beautiful inside and out. It was just another day in London, England, when THEY appeared. No one knew where they came from, what kind of royalty they were, or why their eyes were so dark and dangerous. No one knew why they roamed the streets, as if they were searching. No one but Raven. But she didnt tell the people in her town, for that would endanger their lives. The man, who went by the name of Aro, came to Raven's house one night with two other tall men, who were shadowed by two small children and a young man. They were to be staying in Raven's house for a while, and no one asked questions- when you're royalty, people learned to shut the hell up. Aro, a man who seemed like he was something more than human, had taken a fancy to a certain purple eyed girl. Raven.
