This Way I heard the rain fall, the thunder sound and saw the lighting spark. I heard the night cry, and saw the days grow dark. I found the dead dreams, the crushed love, and a broken soul. I found the #lifeless body with no one to hold. When I opened my eyes, I realized what was standing before me. Nothing more than a shiny piece of glass with a reflection of no one other than me. In that reflection I saw a creature I'd never seen before. I never saw how broken I had become. The fact that no matter how hard I tried was never enough. Everyday went by as though I did something wrong. Until one day, I finally had enough. I told myself I'd be okay. I told myself to walk away. I always thought one day, you would come back my way. But when I reflect, I see how much better things are this way. I visited my reflection once more, only this time, I saw much more. I found the dead dreams returning to #life, the crushed love being revived, and a broken soul once more mended. I found the #lifeless body with no one to hold, once more filled with pure happiness and joy along with a warm hand to hold. I've never smiled brighter. I've never realized what it felt like to be loved. I've never held something so close to my heart. I've never been able to trust someone so much. I've never been happier to say he holds my heart. Now, when ever I smile, I think of your face. No matter how much pain you caused, you are the one who has brought me to this wonderful place. Despite the pain, I'm glad I was just a stepping stone so you could get on your way. In the end, I know everything is just meant to be this way.
