Chapter-5 Niall's Pov. Remembering that day made me cringe a little knowing the fact that she lied to me. Then I noticed that we were at the hospital. I looked down at my feet scared of what's going to happen to her. "She'll be ok Niall." Liam said. I nodded. "Niall I have a question for you." "Yeah?" "Do you truly love Katie?" What the fuck? He should know better than to ask that. "Yes." I said under my breath. He just looks at me as Harry parks the car. I quickly get out and run into the hospital entrance. "What room is Katelynn Payne in?" I ask the woman behind the desk. "4110." "Thanks." I said running at least a mile to the elevators. "Niall wait!" Harry yelled. I stopped right in front of the elevators and turned to look and see what he wanted. "Hold the elevator!" Louis yelled. All four of them finally catch up and get in the elevator. I push the number '4'. They're all out of breath because of the run from the entrance. On the way up it was complete silence no one knew what to say. Especially Liam and I. We shared a couple of glances, he looked like he was going to kill me. That doesn't shock me. I couldn't help his sister when she needed it, but neither did he. At least I knew what was going on. We finally made it up to the fourth floor and went to the room '4110' and surprisingly Katelynn looked calm for once. We settled into the room, almost waking her up. *********************************** Katelynn's Pov I saw bright light, then noticed I've been asleep for a long time. I looked around once the light cleared and saw the boys and Natalie. "N-Natalie?" I stuttered. "Katie your up!" "Don't yell it hurts my head." "Sorry." She said as she came over and hugged my useless body. I looked over towards Niall who didn't make eye contact with me. His jaw tensed up then relaxed, and repeated that. Was he mad at me? Was he mad at one of the boys, Natalie? "Guys, can you leave so I can talk to Niall?" I asked looking around at everyone, then Niall looked right at me. They nodded then left. I watched Niall walk over to the seat closet to me. "Why did you do it?" He asked in a soft tone. "Why did I do what?" I questioned. "Don't play stupid Katie you know what I mean." He pointed towards my wrist. I pulled up my sleeve and saw two new scars, one was lightly placed, the other deeply inserted. Tears filled my eyes realizing I broke a promise. "I'm sorry." I said, throat dry. "Katie you promised me." He said. "I-I know." "Then why did you do it?" "Austin." We let the name linger around the room. Then he looked at me. I faintly smiled, he did the same. I sat upright in the hospital bed looking at him. He looked at me, then looked down at the floor rubbing the back of his neck. "I could've done something." He muttered. "Don't blame yourself, Niall. It was my choice to do what I did." I stated. "I know, but still I could've done something." I just looked at him. I couldn't let him blame himself for something he didn't do. He looked at me, then stood up and walked over to me. Slowly he leaned down placing a soft, delicate kiss on my lips. I was a little shocked, but I went along with it. Our lips moved in sync then I broke away. He smiled at me, and I smiled back. Not a fake smile, but a meaningful one
