Echo & Narcissus #Myth This is the story of a young girl, Who fell in love with a man who became her world. She didn't have the words to describe how she felt. But she knew deep inside that he made her heart melt. But his only interest was love for himself. He would never reciprocate the love that she felt. So when she approached him to give him a hug, He threw her away and left her in the mud. This drove Echo crazy and she ran away, Where she merged with the mountain so forever she'd stay. Now this solemn story affected a god. Punishing Narcissus became his new job. Narcissus' self-love became his demise. He saw his reflection and saw love in his eyes. So obsessed he became with his own face, That he became rooted to the same place. His body grew weary from staying still. Narcissus grew hungry until he was ill. He stared at himself until he died. From the mountains could be heard Echo's cries. Now Echo is known as a repeating sound, Which appears when no-one's around. Narcissus' beauty turned into a flower, To document the pull of vanity's power. So that was my first attempt at the #Myth challenge. Have a go for yourself
