Winnie The Pooh #quote #13 Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude." -A.A. Milne
300th Post! Well, I find it quite hard to believe that this is my 300th post! Again, I will thank you all for the support you are always so happy to distribute. I thought I would share with you my top 3 "mottos/#quotes" just because I always seem to apply them in lots of different circumstances and have done so for a LONG time, and I also thought they could be put to use for any of you New Years resolutioner's? Anyway, here goes! 1. "Ask yourself this question: will this matter a year from now?"-Richard Carlson 2. "Don't sweat the small stuff"- (strong believer in this one! Be happy!) 3. "Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."- unknown (Heard this one from a young age and it's kind of embedded in me now!) Hope you liked them, and sorry couldn't get the origin of #2! xx.
Claim To Fame #disabilityaware She started out with little faith, Her dreams were only dreams. She lacked the confidence to shine through, Her attitude with no gleam. She liked to swim in her free time, Release the anger from inside. An outsider to everyone else, Instead of playing, she would hide. But in the pool she was a star, Her power beyond belief. Though not 'able' like the other girls, The water was her release. Her mother was so proud of her, Wanted her to go real far. But after all the hatred how could she feel like a star? The girls would pick on how she was, The things out of her control. Nothing could make them stop their ways, In her heart lay a big hole. But there were some who helped her through, Supported all her aims. And one day out of pure belief, She made her claim to fame. You see, this girl could really swim, Her legs held so much power. And once she got a taste for it, She'd swim and swim for hours! With practice she became so fast, Beat the others with her kicks. You'll see her now, the fame she is At the next Paralympics! © @oushie12 January 3rd 2013
Les Miserables Another book over means a new must begin. But my wish list was over, so I searched deep within. On a dusty old shelf where little did go, I found the sweet story that set my heart aglow. It began nonchalantly, brief drama took place, And then we met more characters; the worst extremes of human race. The story has a melancholy feel, Though fictional tells of something so real. A tale of love and friendship, The good and the bad. Fascinatingly clever, yet terribly sad. From cover to cover not a disappointing part, Apart from finishing it, that really broke my heart. So the story I chose off the library shelf, Has made me feel better, a different feel for myself. by vera©
