Stay True Running away from troubles, Things you never had, Shying away from everyone, Who ever made you sad, Trying to be the best, Expecting hollow hope, Picking up the pieces To clear the choking smoke, Your nothing you can't be, Make the best of you, Some things can't change, So remember to be true - to you.
What Did You Get For Christmas? So; What did you get for Christmas? A 36" highest quality Samsung TV hey!? Or the newest 4th generation iPad with retina display? A great new laptop - most expensive of course!! Or the stronger new iPhone 5, withstands maximum force!? Everyone's got fancy gifts- the most expensive they could find, But what about the more unfortunate folk; Whom we seem to have become blind; Blind to their cold winters out on the streets, Blind to those with only the pair of shoes on their feet, Blind to those who hide away in the dark, Blind to those who sleep on the bench in the park, Blind to those who spend Christmas alone, Blind to those who didn't receive a brand new phone. So now, After Christmas, After cheer and fun and games, We need to be kind to the more unfortunate, So they won't spend Christmas alone, Again. NB: inspired by Mr.Stink after watching the BBC production with my little sister.
90 Years Old I'd love to live 'til the age of 90, To see if this world will ever live in bounty, The gadgets and toys, For men and boys, The sequins and pearls, For woman and girls... But will this world ever exist without poverty, A fine divide between nomarlity and novelty, Because a difference in numbers, Does not equal equality. And money does not affect personality.
Lost For Words I've got something I'd like to say, Caught on my tongue, Can't make it's way.... I avoid the subject, I avoid the truth, For what I have to say, Isn't ready for you. I'm stuck, I'm stumbling, I'm falling in, And I'm tumbling... Into the maze of loving you. I'm spiralling down, I'm spinning round, Now I've hit the ground And this feelings not leaving... Anytime soon
