I turned and saw a island in the middle of a lake. In the center way a small shrine." There it is. I'll go get it." I said. I hopped across the lake on stones. As I touched the shrine, I saw an opening in the cavern." That must be the way out.". Has my friends hopped across, I picked up the shrine and walk out of the cave." Oh no." I said. Because just ahead, was three huge dragons. They open their eyes and attacked. We fought hard and defeated them. In one of there skins, was a map." Where does it lead." Asked Mark." The place where the shrine and the stone must meet in order for the dragons to leave. As we set out of the top I realized that we were on the the wrong mountain,miles away." We should have been fifty miles north." I said. Just then, twenty men surround us." Put down your weapons and follow me." As we followed the man, I asked him for his name." My name is William, captain of the nova scouts."" Replied the man." My name is Hondor, this is Ira, and this is Mark, captain of the dragon guards."I said." Dragon guards, they haven't been this far south for fifty years." William said." Well for right now you are captives of the nova territory." DRAGON MOUNTAIN Characters: Hondor Mark;captain Vladimir;father;chief James Mike My name is Hondor,and I live on the island of Domar. We used to live on a peaceful island,until the dragons came. My people were unprepared and many of them were killed. Those who survived the attack fled to neighboring islands to only be destroyed by the dragons. Few survivors like my great grandfather went into the mines. They forged weapons and fought against the dragons. Many were unsuccessful in actually killing a dragon. Those who did were honored and given dragon guard. They have been the only ones that have come back alive. Many of the dragon guards go to Dragon Mountain,were the dragons used to sleep in, but they broke their way out and eventually found our villages. As the sun rose over the mountains, the dragon guards set out for Dragon Mountain. As many as two hundred strong set out for the mountains."why can't I go with them father?"I said."because I need you here,in the mines.""but I've been working in the mine since I was seven.""exactly,you are twenty years old and have more experience than anyone in the village, and as your chief,and your father,you will stay here.""yes father." The sun is high over the mountains when the guards returned,and only twelve had returned. "What happened to your men captain?""we were ambushed by a group of dragons,three of them. I wish I had been there to help.""I don't understand why it was James instead of me.""dragons are wise creatures never underestimate them." Then a scout cried "Dragons! I looked over and there they were,fifty feet of big,fire breathing monster and there were five of them." Get ready!"cried the captain."NOW!". We all jumped and landed on the dragons backs."ATTACK!". We all stabbed our swords into the back of the beast and brought it to the ground. By the time we got it down,the other four had realized that we were there. We had lost our element of surprise and were in the open,no cover to hide behind. There started to pick us off one by one." ACHERS!AIM FOR THERE HEADS!"said the captain." Sir our archers are dead."" When we returned to the village, the captain told the chief what happened and that they would have to go back into the deep mines to be safe."have the supplies loaded and get everyone to the shelters,we might have to be down there for years and if so we must be prepared."said the chief."father,is there any other way,do we have to go back to the mines? Can't we travel to Fort Wilhelm?""it would take too long to get there and the dragons would easily find us,our only option is to get to the mines."
