Welcome to the house, the house of night, The place where the wolves howl, and the bats bite. The owner is gone, yet still there, If you see him, he'll give you a scare. His children still roam, This place they used to call home. In the corners, They weep like mourners. The house sits still, Not yet having it's fill. The new owners have arrived, planning to stay, Not knowing they are prey.

The king is dead, The only trace left is red. The queen has gotten her kill, Her mind now completely ill. The castle weeps a hallow song, Missing what used to belong. The kingdom now in turmoil, So much blood spilt on it's soil. The mortals fight on and on, Only to find themselves under ground. The gods look down, And begin to frown. This is the world, Broken and unfurled. Darkness creeps in, Only to begin.

Inside the womb, It began to bloom. Spreading with no shame, Not allowing to be tame. Ravenous and resilient, Yet so brilliant. Next it chose the brain, Then came the pain. Sharp and cruel, Like a surgeons tool. It ripped through, And grew, and grew. Now I lay here, Waiting for the spear. The lights go out, And I have no doubt. He has come, So I can finally turn numb.
