Breaking The Sound Barrier - Explained You've probably heard of a vehicle ( like a concord ) 'Breaking the sound barrier' but I bet you don't know what it actually means! To break the sound barrier is to travel faster than sound travels, which is around 340 meters per second. So when you arrive at your destination everything would be silent for a few seconds after your arrival so that sound can catch up to you! The Egyptians Invented Coke Did you know that a recipe was found in an ancient Egyptian tomb, which had been left untouched since it was sealed? One thing I bet you didn't know was that the recipe was almost exactly the same as our modern day recipe for coke... A round of applause for the Egyptians!

Traveling To The Future This is the third post I have on time travel theories, please check my other posts for more info and to help you understand this one. Let's begin... You may not know this, but time and mass have a connection, that is to say, the larger the mass of something, the slower it travels through time. You may think that sounds crazy but it's actually proven. There are super-precise clocks on the satellites that orbit our earth, clocks that go ever so slightly out of sync with Earth every day. This is because the earth is so much heavier, it is traveling through time slower than the satellites... Increasing the difference in mass between the two objects will increase this time difference, and a black hole, which has the mass of so many million suns, has been discovered that could be key to traveling through time for us Humans. Let's say a rocket set of from Earth and managed to get to this black hole, if the crew positioned the rocket in orbit with it, time on board the ship would slow down to HALF it's normal rate.... So for example, every 10 years on the rocket, would be 20 years on Earth. Crazy isn't it? Now we just need to find out how to get there.... Please like, follow and subscribe for more!

Drinking Culture In Britain This post doesn't really follow my usual genre, but I think it's an interesting topic nonetheless! I'm about to go out to a club for one of my friends birthdays. As usual in Scotland we are all having drinks before to get as close as possible to drunkenness before we go into the club. I do this, but I find it disgusting. When you think about it, we are drinking something that damages our body to the extent it can't handle it and makes your body act differently simply because it doesn't know what to do with the chemical you keep shoving down your throat. It's a horrible thought... While I'm writing this I'm sitting in a room full of people who will soon wake up and regret the actions they did the night before, but it's okay because 'they were drunk." I know I participate in this, but I still think that it's strange that the culture I live in has adapted to make it okay to make a fool of yourself, as long as you pumped yourself full of chemicals before it.
