Crow's Story Chapter 1 Jupiter flapped his black wings as he flew at high speeds through the forest. The crow was getting some time to himself for he had been doing chores with his family all day long. He spotted an egg in a fir tree below. He was rather hungry so he swooped down and landed in the tree. The egg was small. Small enough for him to eat. He wasn't large but he wasn't small either. He looked around to see if any owls were around. As most people (should) know, crows are owls biggest enemies. Luckily, none were around so he scooped the egg into his beak and swallowed it. He spit out the shell and gagged a little as he choked a bit on it. It was dusk as he flew off again. He saw a large shape on the wing far off to his right. He recognized it instantly: an owl. He cawed out of habit. He wasn't supposed to scream if an owl was nearby. It would surely hear him. He started flapping his wings furiously as he tried to get back home. He had flown several miles before he was out of breath. The owl had heard him now, and was coming towards him. He neared his home and dived down. He was safe. At least he thought... Chapter 2 He lived in a town which was surrounded by large trees. He located his house, which had three nests in it, and a hollow room for food and other things. He stepped inside his house and looked around. His parents were out, so the house was empty. He jumped when he heard a loud screech, hitting his head on the wooden ceiling. He glanced outside and didn't see anything peculiar, yet he did hear caws and loud screeches coming from all around. He dared to step outside and found that a large owl, the one that been following him to be more specific, was terrorizing the town! He slowly advanced towards his girlfriend, Guitara's house. He soon advanced into a run, and as birds are clumsy on their feet, he stumbled a little but managed to get there. "Guitara!" he called. "Where are you? Are you okay?" Guitara called back to him from her bedroom, "I'm in my bedroom! I'm okay!" She sounded scared but, mildly calm at the same time. Jupiter rushed into Guitara's room and sat with her. They listened to shriek after shriek, and caw after caw. Soon, Jupiter couldn't take it anymore and he got up, and flew towards the owl. It was a large Barn Owl and he looked tough. He was carrying a crow egg in his beak. "That wretched creature!" thought Jupiter. He had to think of a way to get the owl to go away. He noticed a stick nearby and picked it up with his beak. He jabbed it into the owl's throat, not going through the skin though. It did hit the owl in the gizzard, making it gag and almost cough up a pellet. It disgusted Jupiter, but luckily it drove the owl away. With the egg. Through their victory they had also had a few losses. They held a meeting that night. Chapter 3
