June Bug #life is such a fragile and magnificent experience. There is something magical of June.. Something so carefree and relaxing. Today I count my blessings, not my sorrows. Today I celebrate another year of #life, not dwell on the fact that I'm aging. Today I smile and enjoy the outpouring of love from all those who remember, not suffer because specific people haven't reached out. Thank you my God for granting me an amazing another wonderful year full of wisdom and incredible memories. Today I turn a year older and look back on my #life.... Baby & Soccer We're enjoying each other's company, my husband and I, when we hear an unannounced knock on the door. It was an urgent knock too.. You one if those thats loud and sudden. My husband gets up and checks the peephole, we weren't expecting company, especially not during the Italy match! Who would dare disturb the great moment in which Italy's first goal happened! "Its your sister" he says As he unlocks the door Ari swings the door open and pushes past Mario. "Hello.... Sorry for just..um.. dropping by" she says Shes standing in front of me as I'm readjusting myself on the couch. She sits next to me and leans in tow whisper something in my ear. Just like when we were little girls... She would speak softly to make sure it would stay between us.. "Im pregnant." Whispers my little sister. My little 21 year - free spirit - hakuna mata saying- sister.. GOOLLLLLLL!! England ties the game with a gol. ...................
Nails & Soccer Gotta love the feeling of the warm water in my feet as I sit back and relax. The woman introduces herself as Yaneily - I live in Miami this is a totally acceptable name - and she asks me to pick a color. Deep Purple. The turbines starts and my feet disappear beneath the blue bubbly water... Finally some me time. Breath in and out... But this is no ordinary pedicure. This is not an ordinary day at my salon. Where normally a "novela" would be playing, today its the soccer match - Colombia vs Greece. The sanctuary where woman come to gossip, get beautiful or hid from their families for a couple hours is full of stylists wearing their team's jerseys - Colombia of course! There are husbands actually here today and as Colombia scores their second goal the cheers are loud and proud in this salon. Cant help but enjoy in their celebration.. After all I too am a huge soccer fan. The celebrating calms and everyone replaces the usual "chisme" talk with soccer talk. Stats, player info, stories about past World Cups. I find it unusually calming. I take a deep breath in and sit back, turn on my chair massager and relax. What could be better than an afternoon getting pampered and enjoying the World Cup at the same time... Tomorrow's my day - Ecuador vs Switzerland .. Vamos mi Tricolor!! ⚽️
