Gold I am seen as small and insignificant in the face of those who are older I could stand up for myself if I was only a little bolder Adults shrug me off like I was a bug on their shoulder Their hearts and minds would be of ice if their words were any colder "You matter, you count" are what the grown-ups told her But lies of love and appreciation are what the really sold her Unable to meet the expectations or let anybody mold her Makes her think she would be loved If her golds were a little golder.
Forget Me Not For all that my mind has begotten I'd hope that I won't be forgotten For all of my guilty pleasures The things I write, my wordy treasures What I think and what I say What I plead and what I pray The friends I chose My lovely prose And my characters abounding. For all that I have carefully created, I hope my dreams won't be deflated. For all of my imagination done, What I've finished, what I've begun What I've drawn and what I've painted, I hope their memory shall not be tainted. My dear family whom I love And my Heavenly Father up above And the angel's song resounding. For all that I have made to be, For these things, remember me Remember what I tried to do To bring a smile to you and you If I succeeded, and your smile was true Remember I did it because I love you And if I failed, forget me not Allow my quest to not be forgot Tiny blue flowers surrounding.
The Devil Dogs Have Come All around they surround me Watching me silently as I go about my day Creeping behind me quietly Holding their breath till I lose my way I enter my room and I close my door My heartbeat pounding away And as I flick out the light to let in the night Their eyes fill with glee, ready to play They claw at me and writhe in dark And I scream but no one hears Run for the forest, run to the woods Maybe I can lose them there Hiding and praying and crying, I sit Up in a tree and they growl below I hear a crack in the wood as it splits The bough breaks and falls, and down I go Their jaws are snapping as I come nearer The ground rushing up to me as I greet my death They tear me up, their claws digging into me And I let out one last scream with my final breath.
