#poems For Annalise
Oh Annalise,
So small and frail,
If you only you knew,
You were bound to fail,
A misconception,
A risky lie,
A heavy burden,
On which you'll die.
Oh Annalise,
If you only knew,
The monster in which you had grew,
And if you saw,
Your misery,
You'd wish to be blind,
You wouldn't dare see,
There's nothing left,
There's nothing more,
The gallery of cuts and scars galore.
Oh Annalise,
Pretty and poor,
Forget the blondes of which you adore.
Oh Annalise,
You stare back at me,
trembling lip,
Eyelids heavy,
The broken glass,
Around our feet,
The pain is ever so sweet.
Oh Annalise,
I wish you knew,
That I was once,
A girl like you.
