Summer Memories Sun beats down on our skin as we walk along the beach As the sand snuggles between out feet Our footprints engrave themselves on the floor When we played beach volley ball We dance; we laugh; we sing Of all the joys we bring To our summer- An unforgettable summer! On day 1 we walked along the funfair And played dares On day 2 we went to my Aunts Stayed a while and ate strawberry tart On day 3 we caught out sun tan While Dad injured himself on a boiling pan On day 4 we went shopping for shoes And, regrettably, let the kids loose On day 5 we set off home With our new garden gnome Such fun we had this summer! Like meeting the local bands cutest drummer And playing hide and seek While the roof leaked We will hold onto these memories forever And ever and ever But watch out- We might visit you next year!!!!!!
