The surgery Tomorrow I'll be attending my first patient, A case i've been preparing for months now from scratch, I shall be in the operating theatre, At half past two for a case that is due to finish in 5 hours. With a 2b pencil and a pen as my scalpel and forceps, An eraser as my clamp and suction tube, In this surgery, I shall accomplish sternotomy on my patient, With a paper which needs to be filled with dots, An open heart surgery with a piece of paper to fill in with organised notes. I hope the patient will survive this operation, God willing, and I would do my best to ensure no complications would arise, Or I would need to readmit the patient to the same operating table in the month of August, when everyones enjoying the glowing summer months, or even worse I may get sued and may be in trial for a year, whereby my credentials will be tested, with the same operation on another patient the next year, I hope I shall succeed, with a thick book, scribbled notes, lengthy slides on a screen, sleepless nights, continuous hope and prayer, for my first patient, I hope I will cure you, for your #life, is in God's will.. -ykid-
