No Fear Do you know all that Fear fears? Fear fears you're not fearing all that Fear rears In this world 'round you are corners so dark, forests so old, and places that make you shiver from cold Mountains so high they'll steal your air, and oceans so deep you'd think nothing lived there Now of course there are lions and sharks, and spiders and bears, and all that is grisly in their smelly, scary lairs And there are plants that can prick you, and cows that can kick you, and fish that can bite you, and a cosmos to smite you There are flowers so pretty they'll lure you inside, make you all cozy so you'll forget that you've died And there's food, YES, there's food, that tastes yummy and sweet, but sometimes too late learning you never should eat Perhaps more frightening still is all that's within you that's confusing and strange, that stays with you in secret all of your days Like that spider, ignore it, pretend it's not there, but Fear finds a way to let you know it's in there The world, this #life, seems like Fear's little playground, where dark corners, fierce creatures, and emotional baggage abounds But take it from me, your silly old man, this world is all yours to play in, run, sit, walk, or handstands Shine a light into those corners so dark, strap a pack and trek that National Park Don't cower from exploring those forests so old, how else can you tell stories that have never been told? And those oceans are waiting so set a new course, there's nothing to stop you, no creature or force This world holds plenty of fangs and sharp claws, but like you once a baby with baby-soft claws Don't try to rock him gently to sleep, but know that he's hoping his #life he can keep As I said, and perhaps the very worst, are the doubts, fears, and feelings that say you are cursed Once when you needed a hug but got none, or felt you should have been lauded for a job super well done Or when some meanie tells you you're silly or lame, and they keep you from playing some silly ole game All that stays with you in some secret place, and whispers you're no good, or can't win the race But, baby, that's just Fear trying to ply it's wicked trade, let it whisper and whisper, Fear has had it's last day You're strong and you're brave, even when you doubt, this world is all yours so let me hear you SHOUT: "Fear, you're not here, and never will you be, for this #life is mine and forever shall it be!"
