Night She clutched the crumbling paper in her hand. The writing long faded, the words indelible. Too painful to be called nostalgia, yet not enough to be called pain itself. They were remnants of regret, companions when all else slumbered, it was what the night would give her, till the day she surrendered herself to it.

Alive There have been times when I wish I wasn't alive. Times when the pain was too much for me to do anything but curl up and cry. The pain never goes, it becomes a part of you eventually. You will always be slightly damaged, slightly less whole. Pain will try its best to cripple you. It will render you alive yet #lifeless, dead to happiness. Don't give in to the pain. Weep but do not despair. You are alive. Do you realize? You are ALIVE and don't let anything ever take that from you. If you had to be dead you'd be dead already. Wake up, look out of your window and see. See the sun, the blue unending sky, feel the wind on your face and the vibrancy of different lives around you. Being alive is beautiful. Let the pain scar you, but never ever let it turn you ugly. Live, fight and one day you'll be glad you did.

The Lovers They were sitting together, side by side. Shoulders pressed together and legs tangled. Hands fused. Her eyes shut, she lay with her head in the crook of his neck. His free hand, stroked her hair and ran his fingers down her cheek, cupping it and rubbing it slowly, lovingly. Each breath carried his scent and in those few moments she knew the true meaning of tranquility. This is how forever feels like, she thought. She could not think of existing beyond the moment. He moved his hand further below, under her chin and raised her face. Their faces were close enough to feel each others ragged breathing, so full of expectation. She looked at him like she never had before, her brown eyes impervious yet so transparent with emotion, and he couldn’t help but catch his breath. What have done to deserve her? he wondered. She closed her eyes slowly and leaned forward, closing the last gap. And then, there was nothing else but them.

But Not Me? Everytime I see you talking to my friends, it kills me a little inside. You can talk to them, but not me? You can laugh with them, but not me? Just because I was once your girlfriend and now I'm not, is it that necessary to ignore me? It hurts more than I'd ever admit. And I'm practically dying when I see you flirting with another girl. Was I that worthless to you? Was I really not that good enough? You broke my heart once. But it didn't stop there. You keep breaking it every day whenever I think 'But not me?'.
