Mobile Phones Sitting at my balcony four floors up Looking over the city, Music surrounding the room behind me As the wind comes to hit me. Blue sky, trees swaying Sirens rushing past, The world continues as I stop And I wonder if it'll last. Time seems irrelevant, but nature seems elegant I feel nothing but peace, But then I hear that tone, that damn phone My break is only on lease. The contract expires as fast as that Changing my view of pleasure, Sky seems cloudy, trees disappear No more day of leisure. I take this sacrifice every weekend And don't usually mind, But for just one day, that all I ask To be able to just unwind. It's not the work, or even the time It's the common sense that's missing, And you know what follows is A meeting with discipline. A day from problems would be nice But technology is too much of a rebel, I go back inside, close my doors And throw down that little devil.

Absent Love Heart racing, mind chasing You can't believe she's there, Throat needs hydrating, pupils dilating You then begin to stare. Her eyes inviting, smiling politely You walk to where she stands, She plays with her hair, this feeling rare You take her by the hands. "You have no clue, how I missed you" You whisper in her ear, "But here you are; my shining star" You wipe away her tear. You hold her hips, and kiss her lips #life never felt so great, Just one more night to hold her tight Your one 'three-monthly' date.
