Not So Wild #life It struck me as I sat in a gaze, The warm spring evening full of haze, As I watched the birds, the fox and the bees All working so hard to gather their feeds. I realised that this is the pattern of #life, We work our days to butter our knife, For food is the goal we earn and praise From creation on earth to the end of our days. We are no different from the animals we surround, From the kestrel in the air to the worm on the ground. Our mutual aim to live and roam free is desired by all, not just you and me. I closed the door and let the wild#life seek prey And this will continue forever and a day.

Terrors of the Night Lying in a pool of restless sleep, I try to search for a dream to keep My vulnerable being safe from the night The terrors they come with fright and might. The darkness continues, no safety can be found, as I run from the demons in my mind as they hound My room, my bed, my childlike state, "Leave me alone" as I stagger to my fate. From dusk till dawn, Images you see, From a baby to brawn Dreams make you flee For what you imagine is always so real, The claws, the teeth, the coldness you feel. The sunrise comes searching to beat night into day, Terrors they leave my mind far away Until roles reverse, day becomes night and yet again I dream and run and fight.

Alone in Melancholy From childhood's hour I have not been As others were; I have not seen As others saw; I could not bring My passions from a common spring. From the same source I have not taken My sorrow; I could not awaken My heart to joy at the same tone; And all I loved, I loved alone. Then- in my childhood, in the dawn Of a most stormy #life- was drawn From every depth of good and ill The mystery which binds me still: From the torrent, or the fountain, From the red cliff of the mountain, From the sun that round me rolled In its autumn tint of gold, From the lightning in the sky As it passed me flying by, From the thunder and the storm, And the cloud that took the form (When the rest of Heaven was blue) Of a demon in my view. #greatpoetryshare

B ut generally their beauty is a wonder to behold W hen morning dew settles and makes them shine like gold, E ven when the dew has gone they are quite fascinating B eauty such as theirs must take some work creating, S piders, on the other hand, I have to say I CANNOT STAND!!!!

The Worm Lesson Mrs. Brown had taught first grade for twenty years or more. She was a real good teacher; all the folks knew that for sure. One day in her zeal to teach her students helpful things She chose drinking whiskey, and the problems that it brings. She poured some whiskey in a glass so they could plainly see, Then showed to them an earthworm. All the students squealed with glee. "See how he wiggles and moves so fast," said Mrs. Brown, and then She dropped him straight down in the glass. They didn't understand. She held the glass, and then she said, "Now, come and look inside." They looked, and it was plain to see, he had shriveled up and died. "Now children," she said tenderly, "you've all looked at this worm. "Can anyone explain today the lesson that you've learned?" All the students shook their heads, but Johnny raised his hand. "I know, I know," Little Johnny said. "I know! I understand!" Mrs. Brown saw Johnny's hand and she was very glad. With glowing eyes and a happy heart, she looked at him and said, "All right, Johnny. Stand up, now, and tell them what you learned." "If you drink whiskey all the time, you never will have worms!"
