Emily sighed, albeit deeply and filled with discontent. The sun was blazing down and the children, for once, were actually playing nicely. So why the discontent? Why the deep discontent? Emily felt like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders. She couldn't understand herself anymore. Who was she? She didn't recognise the face looking back at her in the mirror anymore. She seemed bedraggled, permanently harassed and a shadow of the woman she used to be. How had it got to this? She looked around her, most people would be grateful for a beautiful house, a fabulous "larger than your average family garden" and a job that allowed her to be sat in said garden in the middle of a glorious sunny day...
