Secret Messages I was standing at the sink, brushing my teeth, when I glanced at the digital clock on the counter. It read 1328. But that didn't make any sense; I knew it was 8pm. In that second when I registered that something was odd, the clock suddenly read 86pm again. I stared at the clock, waiting for it to change back again. Maybe it was some setting that I wasn't aware of? Perhaps all would become clear when those mysterious numbers showed up again. I stood there, staring, for several minutes. Nothing changed. After so long, the numbers should have appeared again if it was some kind of cycle that the clock went through. Nothing. For a moment, I thought I'd imagined it. I hadn't really been paying attention, I wasn't looking closely, so maybe it was all in my mind? But what if it wasn't? What if it was a message? Who was sending it, and what did it mean? Continuing I brush my teeth, I stared at the clock.
