A Sad Love Story I can't go in; I can't go out; I guess I'll have to go around... your nimble heart. oh, it mustn't be! but yes, it is, quite frankly. it screams and cries; it begs for tears of laughter to cover the silent years. my love, it tries to break its way through. but the tender, care gestures have been well overdue. a hardened shell has it formed around a once joyful heart that needs to be found. the hurt and pain is loud and clear, all sprouting up from his younger years... we once enjoyed the melody of the crisp, healthy song that came from thee. Then out of the blue came a sad, sad tune, and replacing his sun was a sore, dark moon. what's wrong with this man to be feeling so cold? why, he's gone and let himself get dry and old. he locked up his heart and threw away the key; for his one true love passed away with no peace. Here now is the story you don't want to miss. So pay attention closely, and listen to this. it was a cold winter night, and she'd wandered away. some even say she'd been gone for the day. "I'll be back by noon." was her reply. By midnight, with no phone call, he started to cry. Then the clock struck one, and the telephone rang.
