Kittens... Making her way back through the kitchen, she paused to look at their tiny softly framed faces. As she crouched down to peer into their inquisitive big eyes, they popped their tiny heads through the slats of the chair to welcome her. She held out the glass of water that she had that was going to quench her nighttime thirst, and let their tiny pink tongues flicker on the surface; their whiskers gathering droplets with each enthusiastic lick.
