From The Ashes Myth and legend tells us that a Phoenix is reborn, spreads its wings from the remnants of its former self. A beautiful idea, that when one cycle ends, another begins. I want to fly away from the embers that scorch my toes. I want to shake the ash from my shoulders and become beautiful and strong. But in order to rise, I need to become ashes.

It is an idea that is reflected in a myriad of ways in different mythic systems. It's the same as rebirth in Christianity, or rejection of life's troubles in Buddhism, or Ragnarok in Norse mythology, and a hundred other things.
